About CAPS

Consortium for Asia Pacific Studies (CAPS) is a Pakistan-based multi-institutional forum that seeks to expand objective understanding of Asia Pacific region, which has assumed greater geopolitical significance in recent times and is projected to maintain its relevance for foreseeable future. Due to limited avenues of independent research on the evolving world order and its implications for Pakistan, CAPS stands out as a pioneering platform that brings together prominent and emerging scholars working on wide range of topics related to Asia Pacific. Our goal is to inform policy discourse and educate public on Pakistan’s policy choices amidst global transformations.

Our Methodology

We harness the power of modern digital communication platforms to both generate and circulate expert discourse concerning the Asia Pacific region. Through leveraging these advanced tools, we facilitate the exchange of insights, analyses, and perspectives among scholars and stakeholders, ensuring a wide-reaching and impactful dissemination of knowledge.

Join our network

CAPS membership is open to:
i. Faculty members of public/private universities working on any issue related to Asia-Pacific Region
ii. University students enrolled in relevant disciplines including but not limited to Political Science, International Relations, Strategic Studies, International Political Economy, Area Studies with a keen interest in Politics, Security and Economy of Asia-Pacific region
iii. Members of diplomatic community, media and civil society organizations.
